Rowing

The Scots College Rowing Programme offers Senior School boys and girls the opportunity to excel in one of New Zealand’s most iconic sports.

With training camps, competitions around the country, and a season climaxing in the prestigious Maadi Cup, rowing at Scots fosters discipline, teamwork, and athletic growth.

The Club attends the annual Memorial Regatta on Lake Karapiro, a highlight on any rower's calendar. Recent achievements have included Maxwell Kingston’s victory in the Men’s Intermediate Single, where he recorded the fastest time of the event. amd the 2023 New Zealand Club Nationals on the beautiful Lake Ruataniwha, where the team's best finishes included 4th place in the Men's Novice Coxed Four and 10th place in the Men's Novice Double.

The team’s success is underpinned by the exceptional leadership of the team captains, whose guidance inspires their teammates, and the unwavering support of parents, whose contributions are invaluable to the programme.
