Futsal

Futsal, a fast-paced and skill-intensive form of indoor football, has become a very popular summer sport at Scots College

Futsal is played at the Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Kilbirnie, and challenges players to develop skills in quick decision-making, intricate footwork, technical precision, and teamwork.

Scots College teams have celebrated notable successes in recent seasons. In 2024, student Claudia Glantshnig earned a bronze medal at the International Futsal Cup on the Gold Coast and was selected for the Capital Women's Super League Squad, which went on to win the Capital Women’s Premier League. The previous year, our Boys 1st team triumphed in a thrilling Wellington Regional Championship final, winning on penalties, while the senior girls’ team debuted at regionals and claimed victory in the Plate section.

Whether competing in local leagues or reaching national and international milestones, Scots College futsal players benefit from a programme that focuses on skill development and teamwork.
