Flute

Tutor: Grace Barron

Grace has been teaching the flute privately and in schools for nearly 20 years, in Auckland, the Manawatu, and now Wellington. Her students and their families appreciate her warmth and enthusiasm for high quality, enjoyable music education.

She received her BMus (Hons) in flute performance from the University of Auckland, where she studied with flautist and conductor Uwe Grodd, and is currently completing her Master of Musical Arts at the NZ School of Music with Bridget Douglas, principal flautist with the NZ Symphony Orchestra. 

Grace is an experienced flautist, having played with the St Matthews Chamber Orchestra, Bach Musica, and various chamber groups in Auckland. 

She also plays and teaches the piano (ATCL), studies voice with Linden Loader, and was a member of Voix de Femmes.
